PUBG Mobile Lite Guides Hub
Pre-register, first Erangel drop, maps, controls, and the 2019 vs 2026 client split.
This hub is the index of every PUBG Mobile Lite how-to on the wiki. Storefronts list the 2026 client as PUBG MOBILE LIGHT; producer Rick Li also used PUBG Mobile Lite at the PUBG Mobile World Cup on 16 August 2026, and that is the name we use in titles here.
Lightspeed Studios is building a lighter first install of the same battle royale, published by Level Infinite / Tencent. The game is still upcoming. Official posts point to mid-November 2026. The App Store listing currently shows 12 November 2026. Pre-registration opened 25 August 2026 on Google Play (com.tencent.igfit) and the App Store (id 6740521489) and is rolling out by region. Use these pages to pick a store listing, an account, and a first Erangel plan. Do not hunt random APKs while you wait.
Start here before you install
If the new listing has not appeared on your phone yet, begin with getting started. That page covers the official package names, logging in with a PUBG Mobile account, and why Erangel is the only map you need for match one. Vincent Wang from Tencent publishing has said LIGHT shares accounts and can cross-play with the standard app, so the login you already use is the one that matters.
Then follow how to pre-register so you tap Pre-register on Google Play or the App Store instead of a file host. Region rollout is staggered. A missing button is not a secret build; it is a storefront that has not reached you yet. India has a counterpart called BGMI Lite. Treat that as a separate listing, not a mirror of the global LIGHT package.
When the listing is visible, download PUBG Mobile Lite explains first-install sizes (about 1 GB on Android, under 2 GB on iOS), the fact that Erangel is pre-installed, and that no extra package is required before the first match. Optional modules for Miramar, Sanhok, and extra modes such as Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale wait until you want them. Storage tips live there so you do not fill a small phone with maps you will not queue.
Anyone who still has the 2019 Android-only Lite should read Lite vs Light before searching old APKs. That older client used 60-player matches, a 2 km map, and a separate account. This 2026 client is not a revival of that product.
For a single-page product snapshot before you install anything, open the preview. Game modes separates classic Erangel from optional Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale. Account and skins is the login page so you do not open a second Lite-only ID.
First-match and map guides
Classic rules still apply. How to play walks the loop: plane, parachute, loot, zone, revive, and chicken dinner. Coverage describes a 100-player Erangel classic as the intended core, with authentic PUBG Mobile combat on that map. The lighter client is meant to cut download weight, not to invent a different gunfight.
Maps stays inside what is confirmed: Erangel in the first install, Miramar and Sanhok as optional modules. It does not invent LIGHT-only map sizes. Landing notes for Pochinki, School, Georgopol, Military Base, Mylta, Novorepnoye, Rozhok, and Prison describe those towns as they exist in PUBG Mobile. Pair that page with the landing spots tier list if you want a ranked drop list, and with weapons if you want loot priorities after you land.
Controls covers fire, aim, peek, gyroscope, and two- through five-finger layouts in standard PUBG Mobile language. We do not fake pixel coordinates for a client that is still heading toward launch. Sensitivity numbers belong on sensitivity. Hardware notes without invented RAM floors belong on device requirements.
Squad habits sit next door: cross-play for mixing LIGHT and standard clients, and squad roles for IGL, fragger, support, and IFAK duty. The players hub collects those pages.
Calendar, beta, and official channels
The closed beta page explains that CBT is limited to selected countries, uses a work-in-progress build, and is not the final version. Official posts have not published a public country list, so this wiki will not invent one. If you are not invited, watch the PUBG Mobile site and Discord rather than sideloading a test APK.
For dates and producer quotes, use the updates hub, the announcement recap, the pre-registration update, and the release date page. Redeem questions go to codes. Broader links live on the links hub. The tools hub and tier list hub sit beside this guides tree when you already know the rules and want rankings instead of walkthroughs.
Work through the guides in the order that matches the question you actually have. Pre-register if the listing is in your region. Confirm the account you will use. Learn the Erangel loop. Leave extra maps until storage and interest line up. That is the point of a lighter first download, and it is the through-line of every page linked above.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you drop into Erangel.
Which PUBG Mobile Lite guide should I open first?
New players start with getting started, then pre-register. If you still have the 2019 Lite, read Lite vs Light before you install anything.
Is PUBG Mobile Lite the same as PUBG MOBILE LIGHT?
Same 2026 client. Stores use PUBG MOBILE LIGHT. This wiki uses PUBG Mobile Lite, matching producer language. It is not the 2019 60-player Lite.
Do these guides assume the game has launched?
No. The client is upcoming, with official posts pointing to mid-November 2026. Pre-registration can be described as open. See release date.
Where are controls, maps, and download size explained?
Use controls, maps, and download. Device notes without invented RAM numbers sit on device requirements.
Can LIGHT players squad with the standard PUBG Mobile app?
Yes. Publishing comments confirm account sharing and cross-play. Steps are on cross-play and how to play.
