Maps in PUBG Mobile Lite

Erangel is in the first install. Miramar and Sanhok are optional modules, not a smaller secret island.

Maps in PUBG Mobile Lite

PUBG Mobile Lite puts Erangel on disk in the first install. Storefronts call the 2026 client PUBG MOBILE LIGHT; this wiki uses PUBG Mobile Lite. Lightspeed Studios’ storage pitch is that you can reach a classic match without pulling every map Lightspeed has ever shipped. Official store art for the Random Map picker shows Erangel already checked, with extra packs such as Rondo (listed around 465 MB and marked BETA), Miramar (around 331 MB), a small tropical island pack around 136 MB that matches Livik, and other optional tiles in the 200–300 MB range. Coverage also mentioned Sanhok plus modes such as Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale. The unlabeled tiles can still change before November, so treat the in-client download manager as the live list. None of that requires a mandatory extra package before match one. Android’s first download is about 1 GB; iOS stays under 2 GB. Details sit on download.

This page does not invent LIGHT-only map sizes. The 2019 Lite used a smaller 2 km map and 60-player lobbies; that is a different product, compared on Lite vs Light. For the 2026 client, treat Erangel as the Erangel you already know from PUBG Mobile: the same town names, the same ridge lines, the same reasons School is loud.

Erangel in the first install

Coverage describes 100-player Erangel classic as the intended core, with authentic PUBG Mobile combat on that map. Official language is the same idea in fewer words: the original battle royale, lighter to start. You parachute from the plane, loot towns, and rotate with the zone. How to play is the loop. Getting started is the account and store checklist.

Because extra maps are optional, a squad that only downloaded Erangel can still play together as long as everyone queues classic on that map. Cross-play with the standard app is confirmed; map availability still has to match the mode you queue. If a friend on the full client wants Miramar and you never installed that module, you will not magically share that island. Cross-play covers the account side.

Do not wait for a “LIGHT Erangel remix.” There is no official smaller island hiding behind the 1 GB download. The savings come from leaving Miramar, Sanhok, and extra modes off the device until you tap them.

Optional modules: Miramar, Sanhok, and extra modes

Miramar is the desert map from the main game. Sanhok is the smaller jungle map. Both are listed as optional extra maps for LIGHT. Download them when you have storage and a squad that actually queues those maps. If you only play two classic matches a week, Erangel is enough.

Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale appear in coverage as optional modes, not as the core loop. TDM is useful for aiming practice once you have a HUD; controls and sensitivity matter more there than drop knowledge. Metro Royale is a distinct PvE/PvP mode in the main game; treat it as extra, and do not assume every LIGHT region will surface it on day one of your install. If a mode is missing, check the in-client download manager before accusing the store of a fake listing.

India’s BGMI Lite is a counterpart, not this package. Map module names may rhyme; store listings do not. Stay on com.tencent.igfit / App Store id 6740521489 for the global LIGHT client. Pre-register if you are still waiting on the button.

Erangel landings as they exist in PUBG Mobile

Use town names from the main map. Pochinki is the central house cluster that always fights. School (and the apartments next to it) is the vertical close-range classroom that decides games in 90 seconds. Georgopol splits into north and south crates plus containers; it is a vehicle-rich, third-party magnet. Military Base (on the island) is high-tier loot behind a bridge choke. Mylta and Mylta Power are eastern compounds with slightly more breathing room. Novorepnoye (Novo) is the southern shipping town with crates and long beach rotates. Rozhok sits north of Pochinki as a slightly saner house fight. Prison is a walled island drop: strong loot, painful rotations if the plane abandons you.

Other honest names: Georgopol crates, Yasnaya Polyana, Lipovka, Gatka, Zharki, Stalber, the Farm, Primorsk, and the military island barracks. They are not LIGHT exclusives. Rank them on landing spots. After you land, gun priority is on weapons. Squad jobs — who marks, who drives, who smokes a revive — are on squad roles.

Hot drop if your claw can peek (controls). Edge drop if you are learning zone timing. Vehicle bridges around Military and the Georgopol river are classic kill funnels; cross them with a smoke or not at all. None of that advice depends on a made-up LIGHT scale factor.

What to download, and what to ignore

The game is still upcoming: official posts say mid-November 2026, and the App Store listing currently shows 12 November 2026. Closed beta maps can look unfinished because CBT is a work-in-progress build in selected countries, not the launch client. See closed beta. Do not treat a test island screenshot as a new official map.

Skip unofficial “all maps unlocked” APKs. They are malware with Erangel wallpaper. Official files come from Play or the App Store only. Hardware and storage planning without an invented RAM floor: device requirements. Calendar: release date, announcement, updates hub. Indexes: guides hub, tier list hub, links hub. Official map talk will land on PUBG Mobile and Discord.

Play Erangel first because that is what the first install actually contains. Add Miramar or Sanhok when your storage and your squad agree. That is the whole map policy for a lighter client.
