Your first hour with PUBG Mobile Lite should be boring in the best way: official store, existing account, Erangel, then a classic drop. Storefronts title the 2026 client PUBG MOBILE LIGHT; this wiki says PUBG Mobile Lite because that is the phrasing producer Rick Li used at the PUBG Mobile World Cup on 16 August 2026. Lightspeed Studios is developing it. Level Infinite / Tencent is publishing it. The game is upcoming, with official posts pointing to mid-November 2026 and the App Store listing currently showing 12 November 2026. Pre-registration opened 25 August 2026 and is rolling out by region. Nothing in this guide assumes you are already in a live launch queue.

Confirm the official listing

On Android, look for package com.tencent.igfit on Google Play. On iOS, look for App Store id 6740521489. The listing is free to play with in-app purchases. Apple currently lists a minimum of iOS 13.0. If a site offers a ZIP, XAPK, or “fast install” mirror, close it. The pre-register guide shows how the Play and App Store buttons actually work, including the fact that rollout is regional. The download guide covers first-install sizes: about 1 GB on Android, under 2 GB on iOS, Erangel pre-installed, no mandatory extra package before the first match.

Do not confuse this listing with the 2019 PUBG Mobile Lite. That older Android-only client ran 60-player matches on a 2 km map and used a separate account. India has BGMI Lite as a counterpart; it is not the same store listing as the global LIGHT package, so do not copy a BGMI package name onto a global phone.

Log in with the account you actually play

Vincent Wang from Tencent publishing confirmed account sharing and cross-play. Sign in with the PUBG Mobile account that already holds your friends list and supported cosmetics. Do not create a throwaway “Lite-only” ID. The 2026 client is meant to stay in step with standard PUBG Mobile updates, not to fork your inventory.

After login, check that the friends list you expect is visible and that owned items the main game supports are attached to that ID. If something is missing, you are probably on the wrong publisher login (Play Games vs Game Center vs a third-party ID), not on a different shooter. Skip extra maps until you have finished a classic match. Miramar and Sanhok are optional modules. Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale are optional modes mentioned by coverage. First hour on Erangel

Coverage treats 100-player Erangel classic as the intended core, with authentic PUBG Mobile combat on that map. For a ranked drop list, use landing spots. For gun priority after you land, use weapons.

A conservative first drop is a mid-loot town off the hottest plane line: Rozhok if the path is central, Mylta Power or the edges of Georgopol if you want compounds with a retreat route, Prison if you accept a fight for early guns. School and Pochinki are training for people who already know peek timing. Military Base is a high-risk crate town, not a tutorial. None of those names are LIGHT-only inventions; they are Erangel as it exists in PUBG Mobile.

Before you queue, open the HUD layout once. Controls explains fire, ADS, peek, gyroscope, and two- through five-finger claws without fake button coordinates. If you already have a sensitivity sheet from the standard app, copy it as a starting point on sensitivity. Hardware expectations without a made-up RAM floor are on device requirements. The 2019 Lite was widely associated with a 1 GB RAM floor; the 2026 LIGHT client has not published an official RAM number, so this page will not invent one.

Skip fake APKs and leftover Lite installs

Sideloaded APKs for an upcoming Tencent title are how people lose accounts. If a YouTube description pastes a MediaFire link, ignore it.
