Download PUBG Mobile Lite only from Google Play or the App Store. Storefronts title the 2026 client PUBG MOBILE LIGHT; this wiki uses PUBG Mobile Lite. Lightspeed Studios is developing it. Level Infinite / Tencent is publishing it. The game is upcoming: official posts say mid-November 2026, and the App Store listing currently shows 12 November 2026. Pre-registration opened 25 August 2026 and is rolling out by region, so the button you want is Pre-register until your store actually lets the install start. That button path is on pre-register. Official listings and first-install size

Android: Google Play package com.tencent.igfit. First download is about 1 GB. iOS: App Store id 6740521489, minimum iOS 13.0. First download is under 2 GB. Erangel is pre-installed. No mandatory extra package stands between you and the first classic match. The client is free to play with in-app purchases.

Those sizes are the lighter-client pitch. They are not a promise that every optional map is already on the phone. They are also not the 2019 Lite APK you find on third-party stores. If a site says “Lite 60 players 300 MB,” that is the old product. Read Lite vs Light before you tap it.

Confirm the publisher name on the store page. Clone listings reuse the panther key art and hope you are impatient. Bookmark PUBG Mobile and Discord for the URLs the team actually posts. Calendar copy lives on release date and the announcement.

India’s BGMI Lite is a counterpart, not this package. Do not sideload a BGMI Lite file onto a global phone and expect the com.tencent.igfit account graph to follow. Do not tell Indian players that the global App Store id is their BGMI path either.

Optional modules after Erangel

After the first install you can add content. Confirmed optional extra maps: Miramar and Sanhok. Optional modes mentioned by coverage: Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale. Download them from the official in-client manager when you want them, not from a ZIP labeled “all maps.” Maps explains what Erangel already gives you and why LIGHT is not a secret 2 km island.

Storage tip: keep Erangel only until you know you will queue the desert or the jungle. Extra modules are how a 1 GB start becomes a full gallery again. If you play on a 32 GB phone, that choice is the whole feature. If you play on a 256 GB flagship, you can still skip modules you never queue; less stuff on disk means fewer update surprises.

You do not need extra modules to squad with friends on the standard app. Vincent Wang confirmed account sharing and cross-play. You do need the same mode and map available on both clients. Cross-play is the account checklist. How to play is the classic loop you can run on Erangel alone.

Storage hygiene and devices

Leave several hundred MB free above the quoted first download so the store can unpack. Clear Play / App Store caches if an install sticks at 99%. Move photos off the device if Android claims the 1 GB pack will not fit. Uninstall the 2019 Lite if it is still occupying space and you no longer use that separate account.

This page will not invent an official RAM floor for LIGHT. The 2019 Lite was widely associated with 1 GB RAM; the 2026 client has not published a matching number. iOS 13.0 is the floor Apple currently lists. Closed beta builds are work-in-progress and may use different package sizes in selected countries. They are not the November store client. If you were not invited, do not download a “CBT leak.” See closed beta.

Unofficial APKs, XAPKs, and “early unlock” sites

Between pre-registration and the November window, fake mirrors explode. They bundle miners, overlay logins, or the 2019 Lite binary renamed LIGHT. They also void any hope of a clean account share. If a YouTube description pastes a Drive folder, close it. If a Telegram channel sells “pre-install,” mute it. Codes is the only wiki page that should ever discuss redeem strings, and even there you should not buy codes from strangers.

Sideloading also breaks the update channel Lightspeed intends to keep in step with standard PUBG Mobile. A pirated APK will not receive those patches cleanly. Play and the App Store exist so the lighter client and the full client can move together.

When the store finally switches from Pre-register to Get / Install, install, log into the PUBG Mobile account you already own, and play Erangel. Optional maps can wait.
