Weapon Tier List

PUBG Mobile Lite is supposed to feel like PUBG Mobile combat on Erangel, not like a new shooter with unique rifles. Until Lightspeed publishes LIGHT-only balance notes, rank guns the way you already rank them in the main client. This list is an expectation, not a datamine.

Assume 5.56 and 7.62 still behave like they do on the island you know. Assume airdrop uniques (AWM, Groza, M249, DBS, Mk14) still outclass floor loot if you win the crate. Assume a pan still eats a headshot. If a CBT build looks different, remember official posts call that build work-in-progress and not final.

S tier — take these fights

  • M416 — The default 5.56 spray. Compensator, vertical grip, 3x or 4x, and you hold mid-range compounds without learning a new recoil language.
  • Beryl M762 — Higher risk, higher burst. If your thumbs already control it on the main app, it deletes close-to-mid fights on Pochinki stairs.
  • Vector — Magazine-dependent, but the time-to-kill in apartments and School hallways is still the SMG ceiling.
  • Kar98k / M24 — Bolt rifles that still punish peeks across fields. M24 is the cleaner bolt if you find it; Kar98 is the common one you should be happy to keep.
  • AWM — Airdrop sniper. Same rule as always: one well-placed shot, then reposition. Not a LIGHT exclusive.

If you only practice two sprays before November, practice M416 and Beryl. Cross-play squads with main-app friends will bring those two into mixed lobbies without thinking.

A tier — everyday winners

  • AKM — 7.62 with a slower, readable kick. Great when Beryl is missing and you still want punch through covers.
  • UMP45 — Forgiving SMG for players who lose Vector mags. Attachments matter less than the Vector’s; it still wins close compounds.
  • Mini14 — DMR for people who tap instead of holding spray. Erangel fields love it.
  • SLR — Harder DMR, bigger reward per tap. Pair with an SMG if you cannot 7.62-spray.
  • DP-28 — Bipod fantasy on ridges, still a laser prone. Slow to strafe, excellent to hold a rotate.
  • M249 — Airdrop LMG. Mag size wins third parties if you do not hip-fire like a shotgun.
  • DBS — Airdrop shotgun. Two-tap monster in doorways. Do not run it in open fields.

A-tier guns are how most chicken dinners actually happen. You will not see an AWM every match. You will see an AKM on a roof in Rozhok.

B tier — range or luck

  • SCAR-L / QBZ — Controllable 5.56 that loses to a kitted M416. Keep them until the M4 appears.
  • Groza — Airdrop 7.62. Filthy up close, heavy, and not a reason to ignore floor Beryl.
  • SKS — DMR that asks for more kick control than Mini14. Fine if you already like it.
  • UZI / Thompson — Hip-fire and stair guns. They fall off the moment the fight leaves a building.
  • S12K / S1897 — Shotguns for compounds. Pump timing still matters; do not take them to Georgopol crates in the open.
  • Mk14 — Airdrop DMR. Full-auto is a trap unless you are already braced.

B-tier is “I will win this rotate, then I will loot up.” That is healthy play, not a fail.

C tier — spawn, then swap

Pistols, the Win94, crossbow, and early SMGs without mags belong here. They exist so you are not empty-handed after a bad house. Swap them. The exception is the pan: keep it in melee even when your guns are S-tier. It is still the cheapest headshot insurance on the island.

Attachments and ammo, not skins

LIGHT shares supported cosmetics with the main app, but a legendary skin does not change recoil. Prioritize compensator, vertical or angled grip, extended mag, and a sight you can actually track on a small screen. 6x and 8x are for people who already play DMR; a 3x on an M416 is the default “I can fight School and still tap a field” setup.

Ammo still has weight. 7.62 Beryl plus SLR plus a crate AR is how you get stuck in a compound while the circle eats the road. Two ammo types is the habit to keep, same as the main client.

How to practice before the client is playable

You cannot tune LIGHT-specific recoil until the app is playable. You can use the main PUBG Mobile training range for the same families, then copy those muscle memories. When LIGHT opens a training mode, start with the sensitivity ranges on this wiki, then adjust. Do not download a “LIGHT 90% gyro code” from a seller; there are no official Lightspeed sensitivity numbers.

Pair this list with landing spots so you do not take a Vector into a field rotate or a Kar98 into School bathrooms. For four-man jobs, squad roles decides who is allowed to pick the crate AR. For how a match actually flows, how to play still beats any letter rank.

After the November 2026 window, if spawn tables or attachments clearly differ, this page will say so. Until a real note exists, ignore “LIGHT nerfed M416” thumbnails. They are guessing. This list is also guessing — but it is guessing from guns you already know, which is the only honest way to write a tier list for an upcoming shared-combat client.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you drop into Erangel.

Does LIGHT add unique guns?

None have been announced. Expect familiar PUBG Mobile families on Erangel, not a new LIGHT rifle.

Why is M416 in S tier?

Because that is how main-app Erangel already plays: controllable 5.56, easy attachments, works close and mid. LIGHT is supposed to keep that combat.

Should I save crate guns only?

No. AWM, DBS, and M249 are S/A when they drop. Most wins still come from floor M416, Beryl, or AKM.

Is this based on a leaked LIGHT patch?

No. It is framed as expected shared gunplay. CBT builds are work-in-progress and not final.

Where do I practice recoil?

Main-app training now; LIGHT training once that client is playable. Starting gyro and ADS ranges are on sensitivity.

Does a pan still block a headshot?

That is the long-running PUBG Mobile rule this list assumes. Keep the pan even when your rifles are kitted.
